Slice Engineering Hotends and Accessories

The Mosquito hotend, designed by Slice Engineering, is changing the form of hotends, while increasing the functionality. The separated module design of the Mosquito hotend includes the frame on the cold end, which feeds the filament down, and the heater block - which are kept separate by four metal support rods. This air gap has a small, copper heatsink that guides the filament down to the heater block where a small fan keeps the right amount of air flowing.

This radical new design all but eliminates heat creep! The heat stays in the heater block where it belongs, resulting in clean efficient 3D printing in an elegant and compact form factor.
