Questions
Will the Bambu A1 3D printer use filament from other 3D printers? I'm a teacher whose Makerbot died. I'm going to purchase another 3D Printer that can print multiple filament colors at the same time. CNET recommended this as the best overall printer, and from what I've seen, I'm sold!
Can I print files from Thingiverse on the Bambu A1? Does it have a networks port? How would I get files uploaded into the Bambu slicer. I used Matter Control as my slicer in the past Any ability to use Matter Control. For a 3D printer that can print 4 colors it is very reasonably priced. Is it reliable ? How does it compare to the Pulse printer?
Yes you can print files from Thing verse any STL STEP, or 3mf file will be compatible. To get files imported to the bambu slicer you can either drag and drop into the program while its open, import it under file, or right click and open with bambu studio.
It can connect via wifi 2.4ghz no ethernet port.
You wont be able to control this with Mattercontrol but will have full control over network within the bambu slicer as well as the phone app.
Overall this is a very reliable printer even when doing the multicolor printing. The A1 is has the same reliable design of the pulse commonly known as the I3 design. It is much faster though. It is reliable and serviceable. Check out the Bambu Wiki to see all the documentation on the printer and the Slicer
