Questions
I don't see how to read or write reviews so I'll post here. The spool does not fit a Bambu Lab AMS unit. I really wanted to try this since I have read good things about the material.
What is the best standby idle temp for this pva? I will be using it in an IDEX printer and am just unsure of the temp it needs to stay at for standby while idle.
I have much better success with the Build PVA in my Ultimaker S5 Pro since it feeds more reliably in the material station. Matterhackers Pro PVA is a different color and consistency than the Build PVA but there is nothing in the details suggesting that they are different composition - just that the pro has more accurate dimensions. I love the soft flexible nature of the Build PVA and was surprised to discover that the substantially more expensive Pro PVA is more brittle, much like the Ultimaker PVA. Why is this?
Is a dual extruder machine absolutely necessary? Can one print the support structure first and then the secondary model after? (Provided that there are no repetitive support/real, support real model layers of course).
What bed treatment should be applied for printing PVA ?
Any ideas why it might not adhere to its previous layer....
How is it with the humidity absorption, does it absorbs less than regular pva? Have anyone tried with the prusa MMU2S?
how hard is this material compared to regular pva that is softer than tpu? is it comparable to any material i know? my prusa i3 mk3 mmu2s has a filament sensor that works better with harder materials, is not good sensing softer material spools. i mean, how hard is the material before being printed?
I've enclosed my UM3s to improve the quality of parts printed from polycarbonate and other temperature sensitive materials. When I've tried using PVA in the past it melts (severly softens) in the bowden tubes. Is this material different? Yes I also cannot use PLA with the enclosures but I can't use it for the functional parts I make anyway so no loss there.
I have been having issues getting this to stick to my build plate and PLA. I have tried printing on PEI, PEI with Nano Adheasive, and PEI with Nano Adheasive and glue stick. Nothing works.
