FAQ

Are there other Formlabs materials compatible with the Resin Pump?

  • Most materials compatible with the Form 3 Series 3D printer you are using will also be compatible with the Resin Pump. However, to utilize the maximum benefits of the Resin Pump, that material must be in a Formlabs 5L container and come with a resin card.

Can I custom order a 5L container of Formlabs resin?

  • Yes, you can request a quote to inquire about custom orders for 5L Formlabs resins.
    • Custom resin orders will require at least a 30L minimum order quantity, if not higher for certain materials.

Will I need to perform maintenance on the Resin Pump?

  • To ensure peak efficiency on your Formlabs Resin Pump, you must replace the transfer and internal tubes every 6 months (or when you switch between different materials) with the Formlabs Resin Pump Maintenance Kit.

Can this be applied over PEI? I have an old Prusa Mk3 PEI spring steel sheet with smooth PEI that I would like to use but don't want to remove the PEI film if possible.

Can you print pla without glue on this surface?

Not a question: I just wanted to say that this garolite sheet is awesome. I've been printing on PEI exclusively pretty much ever since I got my printer 9 months ago. I recently started printing PETG and decided to see if there was any other build surface that would have the same amount of adhesion without taking a part of the surface with it when I removed the part. This stuff fits the bill perfectly. Just as good adhesion as PEI with an easier ability to remove the part with the plus that the bottom surface is shiny like glass rather than matte like PEI. Stick this onto the bottom of a flexplate and you'll never look back!

When applied to the glass, does this material work with Ultimaker S5 auto-leveling or do you have to switch to manual leveling?
