Take a Kodak with You
The Portrait is designed from the foundation up to keep you up to date on your prints even when you're away. The internal camera allows you to monitor your prints from any browser, and the integration of PrinterOS allows you to respond to the live feed with the touch of a button.
And if you're unable to keep an eye on your print, the run-out sensors on each extruder will sense if your spools has run out and will automatically pause, making sure your prints are present, even if you can't be.
The Magic of Prints that Develop in Front of Your Eyes
With dual extrusion, you can print projects and parts of incredibly complex design and architecture thanks to the PVA support filament that extrudes from the second extruder. Bridging becomes incredibly easy, and your ideas materialize in real-time. Once the print is complete, the support simply dissolves away in a water bath. No interface layers to cut away, no pile of unused filament wasted.
And with automatic nozzle lifting, the print head that's not extruding at any given moment simply lifts away, keeping your print safe as it develops in front of your eyes.
Kodak Simplicity
The Portrait 3D printer uses automatic calibration and bed leveling to ensure that every print starts out on a level surface. That first layer is the most important, and the headache of getting it to be perfect is taken away by the Portrait.
And the extensive library of Kodak filaments lets you select your perfect material and color for the print of your dreams. Or use the filament brand of your choice. The Portrait even supports abrasives, with its all-metal hotend.
Ready. Aim. Print.
Kodak as You Go
The Portrait isn't just equipped with all the best features, it's also designed with a structure that can hold up to years of constant use. With a steel frame, a precision ballscrew for the z axis, linear bearings for the y and z motion, a 32-bit print controller and built-in HEPA filtration, this is a 3D printer that's ready for engineering, educational or design applications.
There's even a unit-top light indicator that monitors printer status from anywhere in the shop, classroom, or showroom.

Questions
Can I print carbon fiber nylon with the creator max printer?
Can an IDEX printer, such as the Flashforge Creator Max 2, be used to print in more than two colors. For example; I may want to print a three color cube comprising a 25mm layer of red on printhead#1, followed by a 25mm layer of blue on printhead#2, then a 25mm layer of yellow on printhead#1. This would involve changing the filament on printhead#1 from red to yellow while it is dormant, waiting for printhead#2 to finish printing the blue layer.
Is this PETG friendly? I print PETG and sometimes Nylon but I need a hotend that wont suffer from heatcreep while I print at 240C.
Where do I find the 5v cooling fan for the creator max 2. Flashforge does not sell them on their website and Amazon has ones that are too small or the voltage is too much
Can I print TPU with the FlashForge Creator MAX 2?
Both FlashForge USA and Amazon list: Build Tape (6 Pcs), Flexible Buildplate Kit, 0.4 MM Nozzle (4 Pcs). Can you confirm that these items are included? The MatterHackers "what's in the box" description only lists 2 build tapes. No nozzles or the flexible build plate.
What's the difference between the Flashforge Creator Pro 2 and Max 2? Also, Flashforge sells this printer for $589.
The Pro 2 runs 8-bit and the Max 2 does 32-bit
The Pro 2 has a non-removable build plate and the Max 2 has a good removable plate
The Pro 2 doesn't have a filament scraper and the Max 2 does
The Pro 2 doesn't have build area LEDs and the Max 2 does
The Pro 2 doesn't have the improved cooling system and the Max 2 does
These all may seem small or large depending on your needs. I will say the removable build plate alone makes the Max 2 better as the Pro 2 is a PITA to remove prints. Also the filament scraper is awesome and prevents a string of spaghetti from ruining a print. These can be installed on the Pro 2, but it takes a massive amount of elbow grease and time to get the build plate done. It's not easy to do the upgrade at all no matter your skill level.
Oh and Flashforge official sells the Pro 2, but NOT the Max 2. So the printer you saw at $589 was the Pro 2 as you can't buy the Max 2 from them directly. Which makes no sense honestly, but it is what it is.
