Print endless amounts of abrasive filament
Born from the same demanding lab that gave us the Olsson heater block, the Olsson Ruby 3D printer nozzle is the most wear resistant nozzle available. Developed for use while printing extremely abrasive Boron Carbide filament, the Olsson Ruby prints kilograms of even the most abrasive consumer filaments with no visible signs of wear.
Why the Olsson Ruby is right for your 3D printer
- One nozzle for any material. While the Ruby has been developed for use with highly abrasive materials, it also produces beautiful 3D prints with less abrasive materials such as PLA, ABS or Nylon
- The ruby embedded in the tip of the nozzle will not wear down when printing even the toughest materials. Designed for use printing Boron Carbide, the third hardest known material in the world.
- The main body of the Olsson Ruby is brass, which means excellent heat conductivity throughout the nozzle to maintain consistent temperature.
- The ruby nozzle has been in field testing since early 2016 and the community has produced stunning prints using this nozzle
- Each Olsson Ruby nozzle is manufactured, assembled and testing at their high-quality facility in Sweden. By controlling their process and keeping it close to home they can guarantee the best quality and tight tolerances on each and every nozzle.
Perfect for printing NylonX
Author of the OpenRC Project, the OpenRailway Project and designer of the Benchy, Daniel Norée has found great success printing many of his designs with the Olsson Ruby nozzle and MatterHackers NylonX filament.
Daniel describes his experience printing NylonX with the Olsson Ruby:
”Other than being a high precision product the Olsson Ruby offers great value when iterating a project like the OpenRC Mini Quad and need that long time consistency in quality as it won't degrade over time nearly as much many of it´s competitors when printing abrasive filament like the NylonX.”
The Olsson Ruby is an excellent nozzle for printing MatterHackers NylonX carbon fiber infused nylon filament. NylonX produces super strong parts, but can quickly wear out a standard brass nozzle. The strength and abrasive resistance of the Ruby nozzle enables makers to print kilograms of carbon fiber filament with zero signs of wear on the nozzle.

Questions
Do 10lb spools fit in this?
How reliable is this? Unfortunately, the manufacturer only seems to have a 30-day warranty which usually means they don't trust their own equipment.
Is this the latest PrintDry PRO (2.0)?
Will this dryer actually reach the setting temperature uniformly inside the chamber or is this like the Chinese stuff where the temp sensor is on the heating element?
is there a material data sheet in regards to drying different materials?
What's the advantage of this over just stacking a filament box onto the base of a food dehydrator? Cause just adding a timer doesn't seem worth the price.
Can a PTFE tube be used with the front exit port to direct the filament down and avoid friction?
Is there a roller type fairlead for this product? The stock pass-through has too much friction and the filament keeps breaking at about half spool. I am using an Ultimaker S5 and the dryer exit and extruder inlet are mostly perpendicular to each other.
How do I purchase the extra chambers? I already have the main PrintDry PRO.
Can you stack sections to dry 2 3kg spools of nylon X?
What do you consider regular size spools and what do you consider large spools?
What is the power consumption for the print dry system? Watts?
Just got my pro yesterday. Is it supposed to be so loud?
Some of the 2kg filament spools I get are 240mm in diameter. Please verify these will fit. Most all dryers say max is 217mm, if they specify. Thank you!!
What temperature do you dry Pro Series Ryno?
Has anyone actually found this to work in a humid place like Auburn, AL? In my experience, only a vacuum dryer can get hygroscopic engineering filaments down to sufficiently low absorbed moisture here.
Is there a source for the plugs and fittings?
I see a 48 hour timer on this unit. I would like to use this for long term storage of materials, is it possible to run this unit 24/7 without auto-shut off?
Does the dryer also serve as long term storage? i.e. is it sealed air-tight or does it actively monitor and control the internal humidity?
I want this dryer to being shipped to Israel. Is there an option for using it with the 220-240V power voltage? What is time and cost of shipping?
will this fit (2) 2kg or 3kg spools?
Do standard 1 kg spools of MH filaments operate properly in this product?
Has anyone tried annealing nylon prints in this? Seems like it would work, but curious if anyone has been successful doing that.
Where is this product made and or assembled. Thank you
If I buy the standard printdry, is there a way I can buy just the additional chambers, at a later date? Or will I be stuck purchasing a new print dry system with the chambers I want/need?
