Acrylic Styrene-Acrylonitrile, or ASA is an amorphous, opaque thermoplastic that is structurally very similar to ABS. While ASA boasts slightly better mechanical properties and exhibits significantly more UV light and weather resistance than ABS, the two have very similar applications in the prototyping phase of product development and is also a great choice for later phase function and part assembly testing.
