Slice Engineering GammaMaster Nozzles

The next evolution in nozzle technology.

The GammaMaster Nozzle represents a major advancement in nozzle technology, utilizing the latest metallurgical and surface preparation technology. Unlike other nozzles, the GammaMaster provides high thermal performance even when printing with abrasive filaments. This revolutionary RepRap nozzle is the first of its kind to be designed specifically for abrasive filament printing without compromising on thermal conductivity.

Here are the Key Features:

  • Maintains high thermal conductivity, even when printing with abrasive filaments.
  • Utilizes the latest metallurgical and surface preparation technology.
  • Designed specifically for abrasive filament printing.
  • Suitable for use with RepRap 3D printers.
  • Helps to prevent clogging and improves overall printing performance.

Thermal Performance

Crafted from a proprietary hardened alloy, the GammaMaster Nozzle features thermal performance similar to that of a standard brass nozzle while maintaining its abrasive-resistant qualities. GammaMaster is 2.7 times more thermally conductive when compared to hardened steel nozzles, meaning you no longer have to raise your nozzle temperature to print with abrasive filaments.

  • Provides greater longevity compared to standard nozzles, reducing the need for frequent replacement.
  • High thermal conductivity allows for faster printing times and more precise control over the printing process.
  • Helps to prevent blockages and ensures smoother printing of abrasive filaments.

Abrasion Resistant

With a Limited Lifetime Warranty against abrasive wear, the GammaMaster Nozzle will print the entire gamut of thermoplastic materials. From basic PLA to glass fiber reinforced PEI, the GammaMaster Nozzle excels at printing abrasive filaments with a Rockwell C hardness level of 63.

  • The GammaMaster Nozzle is made from a proprietary hardened alloy.
  • It is highly resistant to abrasive wear and will print the entire gamut of thermoplastic materials.
  • It has a Limited Lifetime Warranty against abrasive wear.

Anti-Adhesive Surface

GammaMaster features our new Low Gamma coating that reduces the surface energy of the nozzle and prevents the accumulation of plastic around the nozzle's tip. With a measured surface energy of <30 dynes/cm, the Low Gamma coating allows for easier cleanup, fewer failed prints, and a better printing experience. Unlike PTFE-based coatings, GammaMaster’s surface is rated to high printing temperatures*, allowing you to reap the non-stick benefits with virtually any material.

  • Low Gamma coating reduces surface energy and prevents plastic accumulation around the nozzle's tip.
  • It has a measured surface energy of <30 dynes/cm.
  • It allows for easier cleanup, fewer failed prints, and a better printing experience.

Multiple Geometries

GammaMaster offers four distinct nozzle geometries: RepRap, AP3X, Vase, and FIN. Each geometry is designed to meet specific printing needs, from standard to specialized applications, ensuring optimal performance and precision.

  • RepRap: The default nozzle geometry for standard 3D printing tasks.
  • AP3X: Features a 2 mm longer tip, ideal for belt printing and non-planar printing applications.
  • Vase: Tailored for large layer lines in vase mode, perfect for printed prosthetics and large-scale projects.
  • FIN: Innovative design that interlocks with the silicone boot, providing full insulation and protection for the hotend.

Best Warranty In The Business

Slice Engineering is proud to offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty against abrasive wear for the GammaMaster Nozzle. Please note, certain exotic filaments, like Glow-in-the-Dark and Tungsten Carbide filled, are not covered under this warranty. Can you mix and match print core sizes. For example use a .25 build novel with the .4 pva nozzle

Do you do repairs on print cores? If not do you know any Companies that do? Thanks.

***why*** is the BB core not compatible with any other material? Specifically, if the internal nozzle shape is the only difference, the electronics & thermal sensor are the same (except for identifying itself as "BB"), then how come I cannot just buy BB cores for everything (especially if they are the expensive ruby/saphire kind)? Not an idle question. Ultimaker has made a statement about incompatibility without revealing specifics to justify it, and I actually *do* want to use my BB core for not-PVA because of the trouble I've had with Ultimaker-branded PVA, and also because I want the additional inventory flexibility. Cores are, after all, considered consumables by the OEM. Please, please, provide some insight if you can obtain some! Thanks, Mike

When the printer is shipped, this BB core was used to print black PLA for the calibration cube. What is the physical difference between the BB and an AA core, especially given that you printed in PLA with it yourself? How is it designed for PVA only?

View 1 Response

so how many support cores come in one qty

View 1 Response

Print core documentation says BB is designed for PVA and HIPS, but supported materials documentation says BB is only PVA, so which is it? PVA only, or PVA and HIPS?

View 1 Response

Are there problems if the Print Core BB is used for materials other than PVA?
