Keep your UltiMaker 3 in perfect condition
The UltiMaker 3 is a robust machine and will not fail you, but regular machine maintenance is always recommended. Here are the recommended procedures for every three months of machine use:
- Check for play on the axles
- Ensure proper belt tension
- Clean fan on the front of the tool head
- Clean print cores
- Lubricate Z axis lead screw
In addition, UltiMaker recommends a cleaning of the extruder gears and replacement of the bowden tubes every year. Keep in mind that these figures are based on 1500 machine hours per year, and if you are using your UltiMaker 3 more than that this maintenance cycle should be accelerated.
