The essential 3D printing filament
PLA, aka Polylactic Acid, is a multipurpose material commonly used in 3D printing. PLA is a bioplastic, which means it is made from renewable natural resources such as corn starch and tapioca products. As a biodegradable material, it is much better for the environment, especially compared to petrochemical-based alternatives (such as ABS). PLA is a very popular 3D printing material because it extrudes at a lower temperature than many other filaments and has excellent bed adhesion with a very low tenancy to warp. These factors make PLA a very easy material to print with, and as such is a community favorite for prototyping and finished parts alike.
Professional quality
MatterHackers PRO Series Filaments are engineered to highlight the strengths of each type of 3D printer filament. Manufactured to the tightest tolerances on the market and made in the USA, PRO Series Filaments include PLA, ABS, PETG, Nylon, and Flex. So no matter what kind of 3D printing project you’re working on, MatterHackers PRO Series is the filament to get it done.

Questions
Is PVA as stiff as PLA? Or is it more flexible like ABS?
Can this be used on a Prusa multimaterial?
I have a dual extruder, single nozzle. I'm using the Prometheus system. Will this print with the temp of 230-240c? I am currently using ABS, and do not like using PLA if necessary.
How do I use the narrow 0.5kg roll in a Bambu Lab X1C? It is narrower than the rollers and the center hole is to small for the twist-on Bambu rails.
Can I use this with my MakerBot Method?
Can you provide the PVA's molecular weight and degree of hydrolysis?
Can I print a hollow, but solid object made out of PVA only? I want Then to cast some auto curing or photocuring composite material, and finally, to wash out the PVA. Is this possible with an Adventurer 3? Thanks
Is this filament compatible with the TAZ 6?
I can't seem to get the PVA to print right. I have a flashforge Creator pro(using.4mm nozzles) . Slicing with Simplify 3D. In the slicer I have it set up to print a skirt around the part before printing to purge, and to build an ooze shield around the part. It starts off ok printing those two processes. When it starts to print the PVA support it just leaves a trail of little tiny pieces of PVA. I tried with a couple of different parts to print but they all had the same outcome. I was printing the PVA at 185c, and I used a 40c bed temp. What should I do?
Hi, Do you sell PVA Filament - 1.75mm in 1kg or 2 kg? Thanks, Martin
Is this biodegradable?
Is there a version of Make-It-Pro that can make PVA supports? I thought that the second extruder was only for duplicates. Is there a video in your library that shows how determine where and how many supports to place? Thank you
Can you provide the MSDS for PVA Filament
Will this work with Polycarbonate filament?
Will this work with single extruder, creality crx?
I noticed after I leave this to dissolve in water the PLA part the PVA was supporting snaps very easily. Does the water weaken the PLA? Is there any way to make the PLA stronger again?
I am using this product to develop PDMS molds for stem cell culture. Can you tell me what this filament contains besides PVA? What is the molecular weight of the PVA used?
Is there information about the properties of PVA like strength and solubility ?
Spool Hub hole diameter?
Is that working with makerbot printer? what is spoon dimensions?
What is the spool size?
Can this be used in a FlashForge Creator Pro?
So how do I just make my support material PVA?
Can I buy a sample quantity of your PVA to try before committing to a full roll? Enough to print a few small test pieces would be great.
