MatterHackers is in search of a mechanically-inclined, ambitious, 3D Printer Technician to help with the assembly and maintenance of 3D printers in our printing lab. We are looking for someone with a passion for building/making/tinkering. Attention to detail and documentation of the process is a must.

If you have familiarity with desktop 3D Printing (not specifically required), you’ll fit right in. In addition to assembling and maintaining machines, we’re looking to test new machines and materials that are in the marketplace. These test are performed using a protocol and documentation of the testing is detailed.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assembling 3D Printers
  • Maintaining printers in the Print Lab
  • Printing parts for Inventory
  • Evaluating and updating assembly instructions
  • Testing functionality of components and finished goods

What You Need for this Position

  • Experience with assembling components and following written directions
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with desktop 3D printers is a plus
