Working To Add Automatic Printer Calibration
Lars Brubaker
Sep 25, 2012
Our new branch of the RepRap Marlin firmware (MatterPrint3D) is starting to take shape! First added feature: auto bed leveling.
Hey RepRappers, we wanted to show off a little of the work we are doing on the firmware(1) for our Mendel90. We have been working on getting our printer to do auto-bed-leveling. The project is based off of similar work that Nophead did for his HydraRaptor's auto leveling. The basic idea being to eliminate that oh-so-tedious step of getting the extruder height and bed level exactly right. Nophead...

3D Printer Firmware Settings - Stepper Motor Configuration
Kevin Pope
Oct 11, 2012
How to calculate motor steps and update your firmware settings.
We recently posted some of our custom stepper motors for sale. They are 0.9 degree NEMA 17s and we've been fantastically pleased when using them for our own projects, but we have had several people ask - "How do I make these work with my printer?". The reason is this - despite having higher step accuracy, 0.9 degree steppers are somewhat less ubiquitous than 1.8 degree steppers, so the...

Installing RAMBo Driver
Lars Brubaker
Aug 12, 2013
------------UPDATE!!------------ THIS ARTICLE IS DEPRECATED AND IS ONLY RELEVANT TO MATTERCONTROL BEFORE V1.2. ---------------Instructions on how to install the Windows driver for RAMBo boards. Used by the Airwolf HD, XL, and the SeeMeCNC Rostock Max printers (among others). --- Updated 6/16/15
MatterControl now include a driver for RAMBo boards directly in the software. If your machine uses a RAMBo board and has a profile built into MatterControl, the correct driver will be installed as part of the printer setup. If are using Windows and your 3D printer uses a RAMBo board, you will need to install the RAMBo Windows driver before going through the setup process. Once the driver is ...
